It is the responsibility of each participant to be familiar with the race course. Please see further below for course description and map. It will be very unfortunate if runners miss a turn or get off course! Race Director, course marshals/security personnel, event organizers, volunteers are not responsible for runners getting lost or veer off course.

Pre-Registration
Fee: $20.00 ($15.00 NLAA members) Entry fee for non-NLAA members includes $5 One Day Race Permit
Location: Toyota Plaza, 73 Kenmount Road, St. John´s, - Thursday, April 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.



Online registration

Online registration deadline: Thursday, April 29.
Race number pick up at Arts and Culture Centre on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., May 2, 2010.

Eligibility
The race is open to paid-up or one-day members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA). Runners not yet registered for 2010 can obtain NLAA memberships at race registration desk prior to entry into the race. Annual NLAA Road Race membership is $25.00. One Day event Permit is $5.00. Registration for NLAA can also be done at Toyota Plaza at time of race pre-registration.
 
Timex Provincial Series
This is race # 1 of the Timex® Provincial Road Race Series, where runners are awarded points according to their finishing positions, and score these points leading to year-end awards.
 
Awards
  1. Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & over)
  2. Draw Prizes - PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY RACE PARTICIPANTS CAN CLAIM TIMEX WATCHES AND TOYOTA PLAZA T-SHIRTS. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT DURING THE DRAW TO CLAIM A PRIZE.
    • Seven Timex® watches will be drawn from a list of all finishers.
    • Toyota Plaza technical t-shirts.

 
Refreshments
Post-race refreshments will be available to runners and officials at the Awards Presentation at the Arts and Culture Centre, at approximately 9:50 a.m.

Course Description
The two-lap course on Burton´s Pond Road facing the CSU Child Care Centre. Runners turn left on Russell Road, right on Elizabeth Avenue, Westerland Road, Irwin´s Road and Livyers´ Road. Turn left on the road leading to the Arts & Culture Centre Archway, then turn right to Burton´s Pond Road. Run a second lap, and finish on Burton´s Pond Road 200 metres past the Corte Real Building.
