2009 Canada Games Prep-Squad´09 Presents The Molson Canadian Light Timex® 10km Road Race 8:00 a.m. June 20, 2009, St. John´s 2009 Timex Provincial Road Race Series - Race No. 4 2009 Toyota Plaza Road Race Series - Race No. 6 Accredited by the Road Race Committee of the NLAA
Important:
It is the responsibility of each participant to be familiar with the race course. Please see further below for course description and map. It will be very unfortunate if runners miss a turn or get off course! Race Director, course marshals/security personnel, event organizers, volunteers are not responsible for runners getting lost or veer off course.
- Registration and Fees
- Pre-Registration
- Fee: $23.00 ($18.00 NLAA members) Race Registration Fee includes $5.00 traffic/medical/team Timex surcharge. Entry fee for non-NLAA members includes $5 One Day Race Permit.
Location: Toyota Plaza, 73 Kenmount Road, St. John´s, - Thursday, June 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This will be the only opportunity for Early Registration.

- Fee: $28.00 ($23.00 NLAA members) Race Registration Fee includes $5.00 traffic/medical/team Timex surcharge. Entry fee for non-NLAA members includes $5 One Day Race Permit
Location: Saturday, June 20, Saturday, 7:15 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Race Start, St. John´s

- Race Fee: Make cheques and money orders Payable to 2009 Canada Games Prep-Squad´09.
One Day Permit or Membership Fee: Make Cheques Payable to NLAA or Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association.

- Race Start Time - 8:00 a.m. June 20, 2009, St. John´s
- Eligibility
- The race is open to paid-up or one-day members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA). Runners not yet registered for 2009 can obtain NLAA memberships at race registration desk prior to entry into the race. Annual NLAA Road Race membership is $25.00. One-day membership is $5.00. Registration for NLAA can also be done at Toyota Plaza at time of race pre-registration.
- Timex Provincial Series
- The is race # 4 of the Timex® Provincial Road Race Series, where runners are awarded points according to their finishing positions, and score these points leading to year-end awards.
- Water Stations
- Along the course there will be water stations at approximately 2.5km, 5km and 7.5km markers. Runners will also enjoy oranges, water and gatorade at the finish line.

- Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & over)
- Seven Timex® watches will be drawn from a list of all finishers.
- Reception
- All participants are invited to a complimentary Continential Breakfast at 10:00 a.m., Laurier Lounge - 301 Hamilton Avenue (across the street from Orthotic Aids on LeMarchant Road), St. John´s. There will be a Continential Breakfast served with tea, coffee and juice. Lots of prizes will be drawn.
- Course Description
- Race start is on Fort Amherst Rd, proceed southeast on Southside Road to the 5km turnaround just past the Waterford Lane. Turn and return on Southside Road to finish where you started.
