Venue - GlenDenning Golf

GlenDenning Golf Course will be the site of The Telegram 2011 Provincial Cross-Country Championships. Loops of 1000 meters and 2000 meters will be used. No Change rooms on-site. Washrooms will be available in the main building. There will be portable toilets available near the start/finish area.

Note: GlenDenning Golf Course uses a variety of chemicals and fertilizers on their property.

Timing & Results

Results and timing will be done by Athletics North-East chip timing, however, only the official gun times will be available.

Age-Categories & Race Distances

• Midget - born in 1997 or later (age 15 and under) - Girls/3km; Boys/4km
• Juvenile - born in 1995 or 1996 (age 16 or 17) - Girls/4km; Boys/5km
• Junior - born in 1993 or 1994 (age 18 or 19) - Girls/5km; Boys/8km
• Senior - born in 1992 or earlier (age 20 or over) - Women/7km; Men/10km
• Masters - born on November 20, 1972 or earlier (age 40 and over on event day) - Women/7km; Men/10km

All athletes are REQUIRED to compete in their own age classification and may NOT move up to compete in another event (As per Athletics Canada Long Term Development Model). The YEAR that the athlete is born will determine the category in which he/she competes. In the event that the athlete competes in an incorrect category the result will not be recognized. It is the school´s responsibility to ensure that their athletes compete in the appropriate category.

Team Declaration

To be eligible for the team awards, Schools and Clubs must be affiliated with the NLAA prior to event LATE registration deadline - 8:59 am, Saturday, November 19, 2011. School Affiliation Fee is $25.00 per school year, club affiliation fee is $60.

Schools & clubs may enter as many runners as they wish. The first four (4) runners to finish an event will score with regards to team competition. Teams need not be declared unless a club/school intends to enter more than one team in a Category. In this case, the names of the runners on each team must be handed to the meet organizers at least one hour prior to the start of the race. All declared teams will be eligible for awards. Only NLAA affiliated club and school teams shall be eligible to enter the team competition.

Team/Club Tents

Schools, Teams and Clubs are encouraged to set up their own Team Tent during the meet!

Awards Presentation

Midget, Juvenile and Junior: following each race.

Senior, Masters: at the end of the meet, during the Awards Banquet at GlenDenning Golf Clubhouse, approximately 4:30 PM (doors open at 4:00pm))

Awards

• Individual Medals & Long Sleeve Technical Shirts will be awarded to all first, second and third place finishers, male and female in each age category.
• Team Awards
  • Midget and Juvenile: Team Banners will be presented to the 1^st place teams in both categories for boys and girls.
  • Junior, Senior, and Masters: Individual stainless steel water bottles will presented to the scoring members of the 1^st place teams in each category.

Schools and Clubs must be affiliated with the NLAA to be eligible for the team awards. School Affiliation Fee is $25.00 per school year, club affiliation fee is $60.

Guest Tickets for the Awards Banquet - GlenDenning Golf Clubhouse

Limited number of guest tickets will be available for purchase before 23:59 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at a cost of $15. Guest tickets must be purchased online. Please note that each participant in the Senior and Masters races will receive a complimentary admission ticket to the Awards Banquet.
