The NLAA Provincial Cross-country Championships (Midget, Youth, Junior, Senior, Masters) is organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA).
The competition is open to all participants born in 2008 or earlier; there are no regional events, or any other qualifying meets, required to participate in this provincial championship event. Students attending non-affiliated schools can take part in the meet and win individual awards. There is no limit to the number of school/club entries.
Bowring Park, is located in the Waterford Valley, St. John's. No Change rooms on-site.
Location for race bib pick-up, late registration (9:00-9:15am), awards, and results is near the Bowring Park Maintenance Shed.
Participants and spectators should use the Western entrance Parking Lot to park and enter the Park. Vehicle access to Bowring Park is limited to service vehicles. Vehicles are not permitted on landscaped areas. Vehicles access is not permitted during the event.
All races will be held on the trails of Bowring Park. The course is hilly, most of the trail surface is covered with gravel. The race course is suitable for using spikes. The course is marked with orange ribbons, flags, and traffic cones. Two loops of approximate lengths 1550m and 2000m.
Note: Bantam event is not part of the NLAA Championship.
All athletes are REQUIRED to compete in their own age classification (see NLAA ACXC funding policy for Midget exemptions) and may NOT move up to compete in another event (As per Athletics Canada Long Term Development Model). The YEAR that the athlete is born will determine the competition category. In the event that the athlete competes in an incorrect category the result will not be recognized. It is the school's responsibility to ensure that their athletes compete in the appropriate category.
Students from NLAA Affiliated Schools cannot claim discount for this event. Individual Competitive Membership is required or the purchase of One Day NLAA Event Permit.

$11.00 non-NLAA members (Entry fee includes $1 One Day Event Permit.)
Processing fee and HST applies to the meet fee being charged.

Race number pickup begins at 9:00 am, Saturday, November 3, at a tent near the start area.
