TrackFest 2026

Registration

  • TrackFest is open to eligible schools that formally express their interest to the NLAA. Schools must provide the name and email address of the individual who will manage the event registration on behalf of their school.
     
    Upon approval, the NLAA will email registration information to the designated teacher sponsor.
  • Please note that only NLAA-approved teacher sponsors or designated individuals are authorized to register athletes for TrackFest. Each school teacher sponsor is responsible for the program, including selecting students and assigning them to events. As a “Participation Nation” supported event, TrackFest aims to encourage broad participation and foster new skills. Selection of athletes should be based on their involvement in the school program and their enthusiasm for learning.
Important dates and details:
  • Registration Opens: Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
  • Registration deadline: Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
  • Meet Fee: $10 per student.
Event Participation Guidelines:
  • Individual Events: Each school may enter up to three participants per gender in each event and competition category.
  • Relay Teams: Each school may enter up to three relay teams per gender in each competition category. Relays do not count toward the maximum allowable individual events per participant. Athletes may only be part of one relay team.

Relay Team Registration

Teacher Sponsor/Designate:
  • Must select Relay Members from the list of participants already registered on Trackie.
  • To register your school’s relay teams, please email the NLAA office at nlaaoffice@gmail.com with the following information by the registration deadline, Tuesday, May 26, 2026. (No mixed teams allowed):
    • School Name
    • Competition category
    • The names of the four participants in running order.
      (Alternates are not declared at this time. However, we will accept future substitutions from eligible athletes who are already registered in TrackFest.)
  • Clarification of the registration process for relay team members:
    • All relay team members must be registered for at least one individual event.
    • If a relay team member is not registered for an individual event, they must register and pay online, via Trackie, selecting “RELAY EVENT ONLY” during registration.
    • Athletes already registered for individual events who are also participating on a relay team MUST NOT register for the “RELAY EVENT ONLY.”
  • Teacher Sponsor/Designate should expect a prompt reply to confirm receipt, acknowledging their relay team registration. NLAA asks schools to re-send their email or call (709) 576-1303 if they do not get a response within a reasonable time.
  • NLAA will not accept any new team registrations after the registration deadline - Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
  • An athlete can be a member of one relay team only.
MEET DAY Relay Changes:
  • Deadline for New Relay Teams: The deadline to register new relay teams is Tuesday, May 26, 2026. No new teams can be added after this date.
  • Relay Team Adjustments on Meet Day:
    School and club coaches can use the RELAY TEAM ADJUSTMENT FORM (found in the Coach’s Package) to:
    • Substitute athletes (from eligible athletes already registered in TrackFest).
    • Change the relay running order.
    • Report team scratches.
  • Submission: Schools can submit the adjustment forms at the bib pick up area during the Relay Changes Period
    • Morning Session: 10:15 am - 10:30 am
    • Afternoon Session: 3:15 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Disqualification: Relay teams that alter their declared order or team members after the Final Update period will be disqualified.
