VOLUNTEER

A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers of the Tely 10! This event would not be possible without the amazing support from volunteers assisting us with the race. We are currently seeking volunteers for this year’s Tely 10. There are numerous opportunities to volunteer both in the days leading up to the event and on race day. Even if you are participating in the run, there may still be a role for you!

Role Description

Finish area (Bannerman Rd): Help guide and direct runners to the chute exit after they cross the finish line. Keep the emergency lane clear of spectators and wandering participants.

Finish Area Setup (Bannerman Rd and ball park): Set up feather flags, banners, photo‑op backdrops, signage, the inflatable arch, and water stations throughout Bannerman Road, the celebration area, and the ballfield. Disperse garbage and recycling bins around the ballpark and surrounding event space.

Finish Area Takedown/Cleanup Crew: Collect any litter left by runners, bag bottles in clear bags, and dispose of garbage or used cups in black bags. Take down all Tely 10 signage, tents, and tables.

Luggage Bus Volunteer: Collect and organize runners' bags on the bus by race number. Assist with retrieving runners' luggage, verifying ownership by matching race number, and loading all items onto the luggage buses.

Volunteer Marshall - Paradise/St. John’s:  Stationed at a barricade to prevent cars from entering the closed roads. Inform drivers of road closures and communicate alternate routes.

Mile Marker: Set up a feather flag: connect the pole sections from largest to smallest, slide the pole into the flag's sleeve, secure the bottom with the tension cord, and mount the assembled unit onto a ground stake or weighted cross base on the sidewalk. Stay nearby for security. Take down after the race and return.

Help Desk/Late Registrant: Assist volunteers and runners by answering questions, distributing volunteer gear, and managing participant registration.
