Team NL Update August 2

Message from JANINE CAMPBELL, Games Coordinator, 2022 Team NL/Niagara
  • Our 2022 TeamNL Athletes Handbook has been published online. Please take a few minutes and review some of the important information about being a member of TeamNL.
  • Found in the TeamNL Athletes Handbook, you will also find links to the Niagara 2022 Athlete’s Handbook which will outline many details about Athletes Village services, policies and procedures. Along with this manual, Niagara 2022 has also released an orientation video that thoroughly tours you around Athlete’s Village including accommodations as well as cafeterias, village services and athlete entertainment.
  • CCES and CGC have compiled the attached newsletter for all participants leading up to the Games.
  • The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC) has released a 2 minute video about Abuse Free Sport and reporting maltreatment at the 2022 Canada Summer games. Please review prior to your departure.
  • Lastly, we encourage all athletes to be familiar with Safe Sport principles to identify and avoid any maltreatment. There is a short CAC Training Module available free to anyone interested in taking the training. All TeamNL coaches, managers and support staff have all completed Safe Sport Training as part of our commitment to Safe Sport.

Remember, all team members will travel wearing black bottoms (does not have to be TeamNL shorts), your maroon polo, and Karbon jacket (week 1 travelers DO NOT wear your TeamNL baseball hat). You can travel with your TeamNL backpack, if you wish, and remember to bring plenty of travel snacks and a water bottle on board.
